Base Salary
$182k - $306k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with applied scientists, engineering, design, and research to design, prototype, implement, and iterate on internal and external AI systems.
- Lead small working groups building proofs of concept for agentic customer experiences and new infrastructure.
- Develop across ETL, backend services, and product frontend systems.
- Guide architecture vision and technical strategy for agentic AI and Transaction AI.
- Set software development standards through code reviews, mentoring, and engineering guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership through complex engineering challenges and communicate backend architecture to science and engineering leadership.
- Partner with senior product leadership to align engineering capabilities with business strategy.
- Support interviewing, onboarding, mentorship, and the growth of engineers and technical leaders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade software or services.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
- Understanding of the machine learning product development cycle and willingness to learn more.
- Fluency in Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience developing highly available services at internet scale.
- Experience setting architecture vision and strategy for an organization.
- Experience using AI coding tools and deploying AI agents.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts with leaders across technical disciplines and influence across teams.
- Experience mentoring and guiding engineers and developing technical leaders.
- Preferred experience developing applications using generative AI, large language models, and related knowledge retrieval technologies.
- Preferred experience collaborating with science, engineering, design, research, and product partners in a startup-oriented team.

- Remote position with no permanent corporate office workplace; U.S. employees may work from any of the 50 states with limited exceptions.
- Eligible for equity awards in addition to base salary.
- Base pay ranges from $181,800 to $290,400 or $191,300 to $305,700 annually depending on location.
