Responsibilities

  • Own the technical relationship with public sector customers and recommend architectures addressing security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Design, implement, or document cloud-native reference architectures with the AWS Solutions Architect community.
  • Advocate for customer needs internally and help inform the AWS platform roadmap.
  • Create technical content such as white papers, code samples, blog posts, and reference architectures.
  • Educate customers and the wider community through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, and conferences.
  • Help hire, coach, and mentor other Solutions Architects.

Requirements

  • Experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders or clients.
  • Experience in a relevant technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
  • Eligibility and willingness to undergo UK Security Clearance.
  • Preferred: cloud technology certification such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering.
  • Preferred: experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Preferred: experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
