Base Salary
$132k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set front-end craft, visual polish, and animation standards while contributing to foundational code and tooling for AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Partner with research, design, product, DeepMind, Google Labs, and Creative Lab to scope concepts, build prototypes, and iterate based on user feedback.
- Drive rapid prototyping and real-time collaboration to explore novel interaction concepts and translate designs into testable, scalable Chrome experiences.
- Own and ship high-fidelity UI for AI-native browser surfaces with complex interactions and functionality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
- Experience developing applications on at least one platform or area such as web, iOS, Android, CompDes, or XR.
- Experience architecting and delivering applications.
- A portfolio, website, or other relevant work link must be included in the resume.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment.
- Preferred: experience with motion design, physics-based patterns, design systems, browser-based tools, Chrome extensions, React, Electron, full-stack development, and rapid UX prototyping.
- Strong visual craft and systems-thinking skills with a bias toward fast, creative experimentation and iteration.
Benefits
- US base pay is $132000-$189000, with a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
