Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and microservices.
- Support existing solutions across multiple business divisions.
- Perform unit, integration, system, and performance testing and support UAT sign-off.
- Manage releases, deployments, change management, source code, configurations, and automated tests.
- Produce functional, technical, and user documentation.
- Monitor risks, manage ServiceNow change requests, and ensure audit compliance.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and deliver user training when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent, with the posting stating that 7–10 years of hands-on professional Java experience satisfies the education alternative.
- At least 7 years of professional Java development experience for the Senior level; 10 years for the Expert level.
- Strong hands-on Java experience delivering applications to production.
- Expertise with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Experience writing and maintaining automated unit and integration tests, such as JUnit and Cucumber.
- Proficiency with Git-based collaborative development, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, XML, YAML, and JSON.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Codex.
- Strong Angular frontend development experience using TypeScript/JavaScript, including API integration.
- Experience with microservices architectures, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, Docker, Azure, and Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and experience with Apache Camel, ITIL service management, technical documentation, or financial services environments are assets.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
