Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available MySQL databases.
- Support production databases across global data centers.
- Support MySQL database replication and clustering.
- Provide database reports to various business units.
- Monitor production databases and perform performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot database issues to ensure high system availability.
- Develop database tools to automate administration tasks.
- Follow established change management processes for database changes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with MySQL databases in production support.
- Experience with Percona Server and Percona XtraDB Cluster.
- Strong understanding of MySQL replication and clustering.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex database issues.
- Experience with backup and restore strategies, including Percona XtraBackup.
- Proficiency in slow query analysis and performance optimization techniques.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, including CentOS and Ubuntu.
- 2+ years of experience with Python and/or Shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
