Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain end-to-end multi-tier web applications with modern user interfaces, APIs, data models, and data management.
- Develop front-end solutions using Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and related technologies, alongside Java back-end services.
- Design APIs and data exchange solutions using JSON, flat files, Parquet, Avro, and ORC.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas, procedures, SQL queries, data scripts, partitioning, data distribution, parallel loads, and extracts.
- Implement scalable application architectures and contribute to metadata- or configuration-driven solutions.
- Provide rotational post-production support, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to the team knowledge base.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience is generally expected.
- Strong Java programming and full-stack development experience, including front-end design and development with Angular, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Strong DBMS expertise with schema design, complex procedures, SQL query authoring, data analysis, and performance optimization.
- Experience developing, testing, and supporting multi-tier architectures and knowledge of software development and system implementation life cycles.
- Experience with DB2, Greenplum, or similar relational database technologies.
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and Excel.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, and written and verbal business communication skills.
- Good-to-have experience with microservices, Scala, Spark, Hadoop, and MongoDB; Python knowledge is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and support multiple priorities.
