Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for software functionality and quality standards.
  • Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
  • Perform functional, end-to-end, API, and automation testing to identify defects and quality issues.
  • Analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to acceptance criteria.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and work with developers to resolve defects.
  • Design test-engineering solutions and verify them with test-team stakeholders and test architecture authorities.
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, technology communities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders while managing risks, controls, policies, and operational responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of functional and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong expertise with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Hands-on API testing and automation experience using REST or SOAP and tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
  • Proficiency in Java or a similar programming language for automation scripting.
  • Knowledge of the banking domain.
  • Ability to leverage AI for test optimization and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of payments technologies such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, or real-time payments is valued.
  • Exposure to test-management tools such as JIRA and Confluence is valued.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance, influence decisions, communicate complex information, and collaborate across functions.
