Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mission-critical SCADA applications supporting real-time energy operations, grid balance, and stability.
- Design and build responsive web interfaces for operational users using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Develop back-end logic and business processes in SCIL on the MicroSCADA X SYS600 platform.
- Apply software architecture, software craftsmanship, and maintainability practices to deliver scalable and resilient solutions.
- Collaborate with analysts, dispatchers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
- Contribute to SCADA modernization using modern development tools, Git-based workflows, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation after onboarding to support platform availability and operational continuity.
Requirements
- Master's degree in IT, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electromechanics, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in an industrial OT environment or a comparable real-time or mission-critical environment.
- Understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices, with an interest in reliable industrial software.
- Strong collaboration, ownership, communication, and structured problem-solving skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
- Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus but not required; English-only candidates are welcome.
- Prior SCIL experience is not required because training, coaching, and hands-on support are provided.
