Base Salary
$164k - $247k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and build the new GI product line from scratch.
- Deliver large product capabilities and independently lead high-complexity roadmap projects.
- Write, review, and ship high-quality, high-performance software across the technology stack.
- Break down complex problems, resolve incident root causes, and deliver predictably.
- Contribute to architecture, developer tooling, maintainability, availability, performance, testing, observability, reliability, accessibility, and client performance.
- Run product experiments and use member feedback and results to guide iterations and roadmap decisions.
- Integrate AI technologies to automate processes and enhance product features.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, design discussions, and technical guidance.
- Lead cross-team initiatives improving the end-to-end GI user journey.
- Collaborate with product, design, marketing, data, and analytics partners across San Francisco, Montreal, and Bangalore.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of non-internship, full-time professional software development experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 4 years of experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience delivering large software projects or features in production.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with large React Native codebases and strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern mobile development tooling is preferred.
- Experience with TypeScript/Node.js, Go backends, GraphQL, AWS services, client-performance tooling, render optimization, DevOps, and application architecture patterns is preferred.
- Experience operating product surfaces that integrate across platforms owned by different teams is preferred.
- Experience running A/B or multivariate experiments and using results to guide roadmap decisions is preferred.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers through code reviews, design collaboration, and technical guidance is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with product, design, and data/analytics partners to define metrics and refine user experiences is preferred.
- Experience developing consumer-facing applications used by millions or billions of users is preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare, HIPAA, or other regulated environments involving sensitive member data is preferred.
