Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, technical roadmap, engineering standards, and continuous improvement of enterprise DevOps platforms.
- Lead design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, release automation, artifact management, and reusable GitLab components.
- Administer and enhance Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus, Quay, SonarQube, Digital.ai Deploy, Digital.ai Release, OpenShift, Ansible Automation Platform, Azure, and Elastic Stack platforms.
- Develop infrastructure and configuration automation using Ansible, scripting, Infrastructure as Code, pipelines, and cloud automation tools.
- Support OpenShift ecosystem technologies including ArgoCD, Istio Service Mesh, Kyverno, and StackRox.
- Provide L3 support, resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical direction while collaborating with development, infrastructure, security, architecture, and application teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 7+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Factory Engineering.
- Experience as a DevOps Lead, Platform Architect, or Technical SME in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong software development and CI/CD experience across Java, .NET, or Python applications.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab/Git, Maven, Nexus, SonarQube, NPM, CI/CD pipelines, and release automation.
- Expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Digital.ai Deploy and Release.
- Strong knowledge of Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana for logging, monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with YAML, PowerShell, Bash/Shell, Python, Groovy, ArgoCD, Istio Service Mesh, Kyverno, StackRox, and Azure administration.
- Ability to manage production incidents, perform root cause analysis, drive problem management, mentor engineers, and provide technical direction.
- Preferred qualifications include banking or financial services experience, regulated enterprise production experience, globally distributed team experience, and certifications such as CKA, CKAD, CKS, RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift, Ansible, Azure Administrator, Azure Security Engineer, or DevOps Engineer Expert.
