Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain production automation tools for silicon and system yield engineering workflows.
  • Build Linux-based automation services, scripts, data loaders, backend systems, dashboards, web applications, APIs, command-line utilities, and scheduled jobs.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that collect, transform, validate, and load engineering and manufacturing data.
  • Develop relational database schemas, SQL queries, database-backed applications, and data integration workflows.
  • Provide logging, monitoring, error handling, alerting, documentation, troubleshooting, and operational support for production systems.
  • Use LLM-based coding agents and AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and engineering productivity.
  • Integrate or build AI-enabled engineering tools, automation agents, internal assistants, MCP servers, and workflow accelerators where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with design, DFT, validation, diagnostics, yield, data, and semiconductor engineering stakeholders to automate manual workflows.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, troubleshooting sessions, and production readiness reviews.
  • Communicate technical findings, implementation options, risks, and tradeoffs across software and semiconductor engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years, master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong hands-on Linux development and automation experience, including shell scripting, server troubleshooting, scheduled jobs, file systems, permissions, and operational debugging.
  • Strong Python or comparable programming experience for automation, data processing, backend systems, or engineering tools.
  • Strong experience with SQL, relational databases, data modeling, query development, and database-backed applications.
  • Experience processing, validating, transforming, or integrating large technical datasets.
  • Experience developing production-quality software or automation with testing, logging, error handling, documentation, and maintainability.
  • Experience using Git or a similar version control system in a collaborative environment.
  • Practical experience with LLM-based coding agents or AI-assisted development tools and the ability to critically review generated work.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and English-language skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include semiconductor design, DFT, validation, diagnostics, yield, product engineering, manufacturing, or high-volume engineering data experience.
  • Preferred experience includes Oracle, PL/SQL, ODBC, Django, REST APIs, dashboards, reporting systems, Splunk, observability tools, batch compute, distributed jobs, LSF, AI-assisted tools, internal agents, MCP servers, and RAG workflows.
