Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and development oversight to software engineers and analysts.
- Design and implement scalable application architectures and software components for credit risk management systems.
- Personally develop key software components, particularly for Agentic AI design and implementation.
- Lead design and code reviews and improve engineering standards, processes, and AI-assisted development practices.
- Collaborate with global engineering, business analysis, DevOps, and support teams to deliver software solutions.
- Lead adoption of appropriate technologies while adhering to architectural guidelines, with emphasis on Agentic AI and Machine Learning.
- Coach mid-level and junior developers and analysts in AI/ML and intelligent systems development.
- Build and optimize tooling for development and production teams.
- Support data governance, metadata management, data lineage, auditability, and responsible risk and compliance practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and developing robust, scalable, and maintainable applications using object-oriented design principles.
- Graduate in a STEM discipline; a Master's degree in Data Science or AI/ML is advantageous.
- Hands-on full-stack experience with HTML, CSS, React JS, REST APIs, and Java/J2EE backend technologies.
- Deep experience with Big Data technologies, data platforms, data lakes, enterprise data warehouses, real-time processing, and large-scale ingestion for AI/ML workloads.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and deployment technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Strong Java Core experience, including concurrent programming, and deep understanding of JVM internals, class loading, and memory management.
- Experience with Spring Framework, distributed caching, relational and NoSQL databases, Linux, scripting, and microservices.
- Experience with Git or Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, BlackDuck, secure coding tools, and software delivery pipelines.
- Experience integrating AI-assisted coding tools such as Git Copilot and Devin AI into engineering workflows.
- Preferred experience with Tableau, Cognos, Google BigQuery, Starburst, DuckDB, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Hugging Face.
- Preferred practical knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning, statistical modeling, interpretability, bias detection, LLMs, NLP, computer vision, time-series analysis, and AI agents.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, communication, architectural decision-making, and ability to work under pressure.
