Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Analyze, debug, and resolve tickets and data discrepancies while determining root causes for systemic failures.
- Write, review, and execute action plans for major data operations.
- Provide code reviews, coding guidance, and technical mentorship to teammates.
- Develop and maintain expertise in student information systems and third-party system specifications.
- Set up and troubleshoot complex Single Sign-On integrations.
- Lead development of internal Retool applications and advise teammates on application best practices.
- Prioritize team backlog items, tickets, bugs, and feature requests with internal stakeholders.
- Lead and own large-scale data integration projects from end to end, providing technical oversight and managing project uncertainties.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
- Expert proficiency in SQL, including complex querying, stored procedures, performance tuning, and deep data analysis.
- Strong hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails is highly preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Experience with commonly used AWS services such as S3 and RDS.
- Experience working in the K-12 education environment and with student information systems is highly desired.
- Strong project management, development, technical problem-solving, and stakeholder prioritization skills.
