Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise-level applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Analyze, design, construct, test, implement, and support new or revised application systems.
- Use messaging systems such as Kafka and MQ and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Manage application development activities, feasibility studies, estimates, risk analysis, and implementation planning.
- Monitor development processes and provide user and operational support to business users.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and assess application usage and functionality.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and help establish operating standards and procedures.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts while serving as a subject-matter expert to stakeholders.
- Assess and escalate technology, compliance, control, and reputational risks appropriately.
Requirements
- 7–12 years of experience designing and developing enterprise-level applications.
- Hands-on proficiency with Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Kafka, MQ, and MongoDB.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Lightspeed for build management, and deploying applications on OpenShift.
- Experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
- Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot and interest in applying AI to the software development lifecycle are strong pluses.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
