Base Salary
$116k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design scalable enterprise architectures and guide modernization of APIs, legacy applications, and backend platforms on AWS.
- Lead technical execution across knowledge acquisition, shadow, and reverse-shadow transition phases.
- Establish engineering standards for Java and Spring Boot microservices, REST/SOAP APIs, Python workflows, Apache Kafka, MongoDB, and AWS solutions.
- Govern technical delivery through backlog management, roadmaps, dependencies, SLAs/KPIs, performance, and quality management.
- Advise client engineering leads and cross-functional stakeholders while mentoring development, QA, business analyst, and product teams.
Requirements
- 15+ years of architecture and hands-on engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, microservices, distributed systems, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Experience architecting secure, highly available AWS cloud solutions using ECS/EKS, Lambda, IAM, and API Gateway.
- Experience designing event-driven and real-time architectures with Apache Kafka, messaging technologies, and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Experience leading enterprise modernization, legacy integration, technical transition, CI/CD, observability, performance, and engineering-quality practices.
- Preferred experience with Python, RabbitMQ, Redis, MySQL, Docker, DataDog or similar monitoring platforms, performance testing, Agile/SAFe environments, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Postman, and SoapUI.
- Travel-industry experience is a preferred qualification.
