Responsibilities
- Design and build backend and edge/IoT components for diverse defence client deliverables.
- Scope and execute bounded technical problems to support high-velocity delivery.
- Ship production-ready code in Python and at least one compiled language such as Rust, C++, Go, C#, or Java.
- Implement CI/CD processes, Docker containerisation, and deployments on Kubernetes or bare metal.
- Mentor and pair with fellow engineers to share best practices.
- Collaborate with Machine Learning and Data Science teams to operationalise agentic software and advanced AI tooling.
- Communicate technical requirements and solutions to technical and commercial stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on application development experience and a solid understanding of modern system architecture and design.
- A proven track record of shipping customer-used code in both Python and a compiled language.
- Strong DevOps experience, including GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and production application management.
- Experience with agentic software development and solving complex customer problems.
- Ability to take ownership of technical challenges and contribute as a key squad member.
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC).
Benefits
