Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and debug Bluetooth/BLE connectivity features, RTOS or kernel drivers, systemd/D-Bus services, audio drivers, codecs, and DSP drivers.
- Develop pairing, bonding, provisioning, GATT/GAP, and LE Audio/LC3 functionality.
- Optimize audio latency, buffering, clock synchronization, sample-rate conversion, jitter behavior, low-power paths, coexistence, and discovery.
- Analyze connectivity and audio behavior using packet captures, debugging tools, tracepoints, performance tools, logic analyzers, and audio analyzers.
- Drive Bluetooth SIG, USB-IF, and Microsoft HLK interoperability and certification readiness.
- Develop OTA-safe configuration, telemetry, and diagnostics for fleet-scale operation.
- Support manufacturing builds, per-unit acoustic calibration, product bring-up, post-launch products, and field issue resolution.
- Provide technical leadership, firmware architecture, execution, and coordination with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- Highly proficient in C/C++ with scripting experience in Python or shell and systems debugging experience using tools such as gdb, strace, logs, and packet traces.
- Deep knowledge of Bluetooth Classic, BLE, HCI, L2CAP, GATT/GAP, and Bluetooth profiles.
- Hands-on experience with BlueZ and driver bring-up on ARM64 or x86 platforms.
- Experience with A2DP, HFP, AVRCP, and LE Audio profiles including BAS, ASCS, and PACS.
- Familiarity with SBC, AAC, aptX, LDAC, and LC3 codecs.
- Deep experience shipping wireless features on Mac, Windows, or Linux-based systems and/or console SDKs.
- Experience with Bluetooth audio SoC vendor stacks such as Qualcomm QCC, Airoha, Realtek, and Nordic RnF, or with proprietary 2.4 GHz link designs.
- A proven track record of improving real-world performance and reliability under RF constraints.
- Passion for gaming, digital entertainment, and consumer electronics.
- Preferred experience integrating AEC, noise suppression, beamforming, sidetone, spatial audio, or HRTF DSP features.
- Preferred experience with WASAPI/APOs on Windows, CoreAudio on MacOS, secure boot, signed images, OTA key management, battery profiling, power-state tuning, Yocto, Buildroot, or direct ODM/CM engagement.
