Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to build, test, package, and deploy IIoT platform assets.
  • Define branching, versioning, artifact promotion, rollback, forward-fix, and controlled release strategies for platform and site deployments.
  • Manage Git workflows for Ignition projects, infrastructure as code, platform configuration, and site-specific overlays.
  • Improve developer experience through templates, scaffolding, repository standards, and documentation.
  • Integrate static analysis, code quality gates, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, credential-leak prevention, and policy-as-code checks into pipelines.
  • Ensure CI/CD artifacts and logs provide audit trails, validation evidence, and traceability from requirements and change requests through deployment.
  • Operate release orchestration across AWS cloud services, Kubernetes-based services, plant edge environments, hybrid integrations, and data pipelines.
  • Define environment standards for naming, access control, and separation of duties, and enforce them through pipelines.
  • Embed observability into delivery through pipeline metrics, deployment health checks, and SLO inputs.
  • Create operational documentation including runbooks, troubleshooting guides, incident handoffs, and release completion criteria.
  • Collaborate with Platform Owners, Quality and Validation, Cybersecurity, site teams, and systems-integration partners on governance and adoption.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or Platform Engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines and collaborating across architecture, security, validation, and engineering teams.
  • Strong Git fundamentals and experience with branching and versioning at scale.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform.
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes, including packaging, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology.
  • Experience with industrial systems such as SCADA, MES, IIoT, or edge-to-cloud architectures is a plus.
  • Experience in regulated pharmaceutical, biological, medical-device, or similar GxP environments is a plus.
  • Experience designing platform and site-customization models for multi-site deployment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Ignition, AWS IoT services including IoT Core and SiteWise, artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory, and enterprise security and code-scanning tools is a plus.
  • Fluent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate, document decisions, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvement are required.
