Base Salary
$220k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define technical strategy for the Klaviyo backend to improve architecture and processes.
- Create the technical vision and architectural roadmap for the platform.
- Lead efforts in managing and optimizing backend and third-party dependencies.
- Oversee planning and rollout of major software releases and updates.
- Drive initiatives to enhance developer productivity and reduce toil.
- Mentor experienced engineers to develop their skills.
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance and reliability issues.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies to improve internal processes.
Requirements
- 12 years of experience in software development with strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
- BA or BS Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Deep expertise in programming languages like Go and Python, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Demonstrated experience in defining technical strategies and contributing to product vision.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with AI tools and workflows is a plus.
