Base Salary
$170k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own radio-link performance end-to-end, improving range, throughput, latency, robustness, and reliability.
- Integrate and control radios at the system layer, implementing software interfaces for configuration and management.
- Develop algorithms for adaptive link behaviors, including rate control and application-aware QoS.
- Support relay/mesh operations and multi-aircraft coordination.
- Drive conducted and OTA testing, defining KPIs and enhancing automated regression.
- Create telemetry pipelines and dashboards for radio performance analysis.
- Debug issues close to hardware using various diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and deliver improvements.
- Incorporate operational feedback from defense users for rapid iteration.
Requirements
- Strong experience with RF data links and industrial radio modems.
- Solid understanding of wireless link fundamentals and performance drivers.
- Experience configuring and tuning radios for optimal performance.
- Strong embedded/software background in C/C++ and comfort with Python.
- Experience with embedded Linux networking and traffic shaping.
- Familiarity with radio management interfaces and building monitoring layers.
- Hands-on debugging experience with lab and field tools.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and collaborative skills.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export controlled information.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
