Base Salary
$130k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate AWS-based infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code for single-tenant and multi-tenant environments.
- Build and maintain deployment and environment automation using Ansible or similar tools.
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and improve observability through metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
- Partner with application teams on architecture, performance tuning, and operational readiness.
- Contribute to IAM policies, network security, secrets management, security scanning, and governance.
- Document systems, patterns, and runbooks for reliable platform operation.
Requirements
- Experience administering infrastructure and operating applications deployed on AWS.
- Experience using Terraform to manage single-tenant and multi-tenant systems.
- Practical experience with IP networking, including VPCs, routing, subnets, proxies, and DNS.
- Practical experience with network security, including security groups, NACLs, and firewalls.
- Experience with PKI management, including TLS certificates, certificate authorities, mTLS, and certificate lifecycles.
- Preferred experience with Ansible or another deployment automation or configuration management framework.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Actions or another CI/CD platform such as GitLab CI/CD or CircleCI.
- Preferred experience with reliability projects, alert management, on-call practices, and distributed-systems debugging.
- Preferred experience with Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and observability or operations programs.
- Preferred experience managing PostgreSQL databases in production.
- Preferred experience managing pub/sub or queue technologies such as NATS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS, or Google Pub/Sub.
- Preferred familiarity with secrets management tools such as AWS SSM, AWS Secrets Manager, or Vault.
- Nice-to-have cybersecurity experience, Python or scripting proficiency, security scanning experience with tools such as Trivy, large-dataset experience, graph database experience, and platform documentation experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required; no active security clearance is required.
