Responsibilities
- Lead the transition of legacy and manual deployment processes to an automated DevOps posture.
- Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Solera applications across AWS, on-premises, development, QA, and production environments.
- Create and maintain cloud resources using infrastructure as code and maintain environment stability.
- Design reliable continuous deployment solutions that improve availability and uptime.
- Develop automation and cross-functional strategies to improve organizational throughput.
- Manage operational costs, resource utilization, and capacity planning across cloud and on-premises services.
- Enforce security policies by tracking and addressing vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across Solera environments and support Dev and QA teams throughout the software development life cycle.
- Maintain documentation and training materials for products, features, and tools.
- Participate in 24x7x365 operational support rotations as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, or equivalent; a master’s degree is highly desirable.
- At least 8 years of experience driving CI/CD for systems deployed to cloud providers, including AWS setup and operations.
- At least 8 years of experience in a global 24x7x365 SaaS/PaaS operation.
- At least 8 years of experience with virtualization and Docker containers.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, batch, bash, Python, or equivalent scripting languages.
- Preferred experience with a large portion of the listed CI/CD, infrastructure, cloud, monitoring, database, and security technologies.
- Ability to design complex systems using multiple legacy and modern technologies.
- Ability to apply industry best practices for CI/CD, code quality, operational readiness, and security.
- Strong ownership, urgency, organizational skills, communication, knowledge-sharing, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
