Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship AI-powered product features and LLM-based assistants, chatbots, and agents.
- Build RAG pipelines and multi-step agentic workflows using prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and structured outputs.
- Evaluate and integrate AI models, APIs, and frameworks while balancing quality, latency, and cost.
- Create evaluation datasets, automated evaluations, regression tests, and production monitoring for AI quality, latency, cost, and failure modes.
- Implement guardrails, data privacy and PII handling, prompt-injection mitigation, and fallback behavior for safe and reliable AI features.
- Experiment with agentic and multi-agent development workflows and share best practices, documentation, and results with the team.
- Develop modern full-stack web applications for a ground-up platform rebuild and maintain the existing platform during migration.
- Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to identify customer-facing AI use cases and deliver new features.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs, participate in code reviews, and maintain code quality and automation.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for AI-powered services.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing, building, and deploying AI/LLM-powered features to production.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, and AWS SageMaker.
- Experience with RAG pipelines, embeddings, chunking, and vector search technologies such as pgvector, OpenSearch, and Oracle AI Vector Search.
- Familiarity with Spring AI, LangChain/LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and the Model Context Protocol.
- Experience evaluating and monitoring AI systems, including output quality, latency, cost, and production failure modes.
- Understanding of hallucinations, prompt injection, data privacy, responsible AI, and related mitigations.
- Hands-on experience with coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot, including multi-agent coordination and MCP integrations.
- Strong experience with modern languages and stacks such as TypeScript/Node.js, Python, and Go, plus cloud-native architecture and modern databases.
- Experience building web applications with React or Angular and integrating front-end applications with back-end and third-party APIs.
- Experience with automated testing for React and mocking API responses.
- Understanding of modern JavaScript, asynchronous programming, and CSS preprocessors such as SASS.
- Familiarity with AWS, Webpack, Babel, ESLint, npm, yarn, Material-UI, and Tailwind.
- Experience with Java, Spring, JSP, Oracle Database, or PL/SQL is a plus.
- Experience with mobile development, ML fundamentals or model fine-tuning, major platform rebuilds, legacy migrations, or UI/UX design is a bonus.
