Responsibilities
- Build and ship end-to-end AI features, including models or pipelines, serving services, APIs, and product interfaces.
- Develop forecasting and rate-recommendation logic with guardrails for property tolerance levels.
- Build LLM-driven features such as rate-change explanations, conversational performance queries, and automated market commentary.
- Create pipelines that ingest and clean competitor-rate and other third-party data for modeling.
- Develop evaluation harnesses and monitoring to identify model degradation before it affects customers.
- Build the APIs, data models, and UI for AI-powered product capabilities.
- Take technical ownership of ambiguous problems and remain accountable for production outcomes.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building and shipping production software, including meaningful AI/ML work.
- Strong Python skills and comfort with TypeScript or JavaScript for application development.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI, including prompt design, structured output, tool use, retrieval, and evaluation.
- Solid SQL and data-modeling skills, including the ability to design schemas and write efficient queries.
- Experience with at least one of time-series forecasting, pricing or optimization models, or recommendation systems.
- Comfort working with messy, incomplete, and inconsistent third-party data and APIs.
- Cloud deployment experience and familiarity with modern CI/CD.
- Preferred: hospitality, travel, pricing, or marketplace domain experience.
- Preferred: experience integrating with PMS, channel-manager, or booking-engine APIs.
- Preferred: experience owning systems in a small startup environment.
