Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy production software across Sadie’s AI and integration platform.
- Develop workflows combining large language models, business logic, APIs, and real-time hotel data.
- Build integrations with hotel PMS, booking, payment, telephony, and customer service platforms.
- Use AI development tools for research, prototyping, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review.
- Improve the accuracy, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency of AI agents.
- Build evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and safeguards for AI-driven workflows.
- Diagnose production issues across distributed systems, third-party services, and real-time voice interactions.
- Make architectural decisions and take ownership of production outcomes.
- Collaborate with product, customer success, hotel partners, and engineers to solve operational problems.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to security, observability, testing, and deployment practices.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of complex production systems.
- Strong backend engineering skills in Python, TypeScript, or another modern programming language.
- Daily practical use of AI coding tools with the judgment to validate their output.
- Experience building products with large language models, generative AI, or agentic workflows.
- Understanding of prompt design, structured outputs, tool calling, retrieval, context management, and LLM evaluation.
- Strong experience designing and integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party services.
- Experience with databases, distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of testing, observability, performance, security, and reliable production operations.
- Ability to independently turn ambiguous business problems into deployed technical solutions.
- Excellent debugging, communication, and technical decision-making skills, with strong ownership and attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with evolving customer-driven priorities.
