Base Salary
$114k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate ingestion and feature pipelines for application logs, traces, APM data, and business-transaction events.
- Train, validate, tune, and retrain anomaly-detection, classification, and forecasting models.
- Build LLM-based log parsing, summarization, and root-cause-hypothesis components with hallucination-risk controls.
- Design event-correlation and probable-cause ranking logic to reduce application alert volume.
- Write, test, version, and operate remediation automation with rollback, approval gates, blast-radius controls, and kill switches.
- Instrument and monitor models and automations in production and participate in on-call rotations for higher-autonomy live actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant education and/or experience.
- At least five years of hands-on software or data engineering experience.
- Strong Python programming ability plus a second production programming language.
- Experience building and productionizing ML models such as anomaly detection, classification, or forecasting using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with LLM techniques including prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, and structured outputs.
- Experience writing and testing operational automation, workflow orchestration, and runbook-as-code with rollback design and policy-controlled execution.
- Ability to operate in regulated environments and debug live production incidents under time pressure.
- Preferred experience includes production root-cause analysis or incident triage, guarded automation, AI evaluation and monitoring, event correlation, enterprise AIOps platforms, and model governance or model risk processes.
- US military experience, including experience gained as a military spouse or domestic partner, is a preferred qualification.
