Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, configure, and customize the backend Shopify B2B Commerce platform.
- Create and enhance Shopify Apps, Shopify Functions, Shopify Extensions, and Shopify API integrations.
- Design and develop complex B2B capabilities beyond Shopify B2B’s standard features.
- Provide backend expertise, data, and API endpoints for headless frontend experiences.
- Architect and develop Salesforce integrations, features, and functions supporting sales and service workflows.
- Drive integrations between Shopify, Salesforce, ERP, data warehouse, and other internal and external systems using APIs and middleware.
- Contribute to marketing automation, AI-driven sales and service tools, and other digital roadmap initiatives.
- Deliver clean, efficient, well-documented code using modern development, QA, version control, and deployment practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical partners to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of Formlabs’ digital landscape.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer building B2B eCommerce or digital platforms.
- Proficiency with Shopify B2B, Shopify Apps, Shopify Functions and Extensions, and Shopify APIs from a backend perspective in a headless context.
- Experience with enterprise integrations involving Shopify, Salesforce, ERP, and data warehouse systems.
- Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem, including Apex, Lightning, Flow, validation rules, automations, and APIs.
- Ability to write SQL queries from scratch and knowledge of data warehouse concepts and tools such as BigQuery.
- Experience with software development and deployment tools such as GitHub, Gearset, and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Shopify Verified Skills and Badges are a bonus.
- Salesforce Developer certifications, such as Platform Developer I or II, and Apex experience are bonuses.
- Experience with iPaaS middleware or cloud-based integration functions such as AWS Lambda or GCP Cloud Functions is a bonus.
- Ability to leverage AI coding tools and familiarity with ERP, CRM, marketing automation, data analytics, and business intelligence systems are bonuses.
