Base Salary
$215k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead projects to develop a robust, deterministic, and scalable software simulation framework for accelerating safety-critical systems testing.
- Shape the simulation software stack across framework performance, flight dynamics modeling, hardware emulation, and simulation-based test infrastructure.
- Collaborate with flight software, guidance/navigation/control, and hardware test engineers to expand the simulation system.
- Improve core architecture, performance, reproducibility, and flexibility.
- Evaluate and drive key project decisions.
- Mentor team members and support their skills development.
- Build infrastructure supporting hardware-in-the-loop environments, high-fidelity physics simulation, and cloud-based Monte Carlo testing for autonomous aircraft software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of industry experience in simulation systems within aviation, automotive, or comparable environments.
- At least 7 years of professional experience with object-oriented C++ and Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience modeling aircraft dynamics is preferred.
- Experience developing simulations for safety-critical or DO-178 software and hardware systems is preferred.
- Experience architecting complex distributed and real-time software frameworks is preferred.
- Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are preferred.
- Excellent documentation and collaboration skills are preferred.
