Base Salary
$160k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, implement, and manage automated workflows for provisioning and maintaining complex, highly available cloud environments using infrastructure as code.
- Develop and maintain tested, documented automation scripts, processes, and procedures using Terraform and Ansible.
- Design and build AWS cloud infrastructure architecture, including VPC and network infrastructure, multi-VPC architectures, cross-region connectivity, and secure routing.
- Configure Jenkins pipelines and build triggers for Terraform and Ansible automation.
- Encrypt data stored in S3, RDS, EFS, and EBS using AWS KMS keys.
- Provide advanced system administration, operational support, problem resolution, software installation, maintenance, and cloud environment build-outs.
- Implement production changes during maintenance windows and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Maintain Terraform and Ansible code and manage AWS environment repositories in GitHub.
- Provide technical guidance and serve as a technical liaison between internal departments when needed.
- Document operating procedures and processes and support enterprise server virtualization architecture, disaster recovery, administration, and automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- Five years of experience as a cloud engineer, software engineer, cloud engineering associate, or in a related role.
- Work experience encrypting data with AWS KMS keys for storage in S3, RDS, EFS, and EBS.
- Work experience developing and automating complex AWS network infrastructure with Terraform, including multi-VPC architectures, cross-region connectivity, and secure routing configurations.
- Work experience configuring and integrating Jenkins pipelines for Terraform and Ansible automation and enabling build triggers for AWS changes.
- Work experience maintaining Terraform and Ansible code in GitHub repositories and managing repositories for development, test, prod-parallel, and production AWS accounts.
