Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize secure, scalable, maintainable end-to-end AI software solutions for enterprise production environments.
- Deliver rapid prototypes, proof-of-concepts, minimum viable products, and production-grade AI applications.
- Develop backend APIs using Python, Node.js, FastAPI, and Fastify.
- Build frontend experiences using TypeScript, React, and Next.js while following enterprise UI and accessibility standards.
- Containerize, deploy, and operate applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure services.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and quality gates.
- Work with relational and vector databases, including schema design, query optimization, transactional consistency, and production RAG pipelines.
- Integrate LLMs and AI platforms, use orchestration frameworks, and apply AI coding assistants.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical standards, documentation, engineering excellence, and mentoring of junior engineers.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, security, and cloud/platform teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience delivering enterprise-grade software across backend and frontend systems.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Node.js, FastAPI, Fastify, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, production reliability, scalability, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Production experience with Microsoft Azure, including AKS, Azure Container Apps, and Azure Container Registry.
- Experience with MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, vector databases such as Chroma, Milvus, and Pinecone, and pgvector.
- Experience building and operating Retrieval Augmented Generation pipelines in production.
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, or similar enterprise AI services, plus LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent frameworks.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.
- Understanding of SOLID principles, clean architecture, enterprise design patterns, secure software engineering, and accessibility.
- Strong documentation and collaboration skills, including contributions to architecture decisions and internal best practices.
- Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to engineering excellence initiatives.
- Preferred experience includes MLOps, AI platform operations, event-driven or distributed architecture, observability, regulated environments, and infrastructure as code.
- Preferred tools and technologies include Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
