Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and provide end-to-end production support for the FX Trading Aggregator.
- Design, develop, and support highly available, scalable, performant, and low-latency distributed applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident resolution and operational support.
- Lead technical discussions, coordinate work, and mentor team members.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, software quality, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and operational excellence.
- Adapt the platform and technical approach as business needs evolve, including potential use of Rust and other technologies.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience with at least two of Java, C++, and Rust.
- Strong understanding of software design, object-oriented programming, and distributed systems.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Good Linux knowledge, including troubleshooting, scripting, and system operations.
- Experience designing, building, and supporting highly available, scalable, and performant applications.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and participating in production support and incident resolution.
- Team leadership and mentoring abilities, including leading technical discussions and coordinating work.
- Strong communication, teamwork, ownership, pragmatic problem-solving, and adaptability.
- Desirable experience includes event-driven systems, distributed architecture, cloud platforms, containerized environments, infrastructure automation, UDP multicast, messaging technologies, automated testing, quality engineering, and financial services, trading, or market connectivity.
