Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of complex software systems and establish engineering roadmaps.
- Make key technical decisions affecting project direction and deliver high-quality results with full ownership.
- Design and develop Windows display drivers and embedded firmware.
- Debug modern multiprocessor systems using hardware-level code debuggers and diagnostic tools.
- Build a culture of engineering excellence, customer focus, collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
- Hire and develop engineering talent.
- Collaborate across hardware, software, design, manufacturing, and third-party teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- At least 6 years of embedded-domain experience working on drivers and firmware.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and driver development.
- Strong debugging skills for modern multiprocessor systems and familiarity with hardware-level debuggers and diagnostic tools.
- Deep understanding of Windows and PC architecture, including driver architecture.
- Knowledge of Windows Driver Frameworks, including WDF, KMDF, and UMDF.
- Working knowledge of display technologies including DP, HDR, and OLED, and hardware such as GPUs and TCONs.
- Experience with display color calibration.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts from block diagrams through low-level C code explanations.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to ambiguity, and collaborate in a dynamic global environment.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
