Responsibilities
- Identify storage bottlenecks and missing features with Arm internal teams and external partners.
- Understand storage requirements and collaborate with architects and engineers to influence Arm technology.
- Enable and optimize storage software on Arm servers.
- Improve code quality through testing and work with QA to automate development pipelines.
- Develop, upstream, and maintain code in open-source projects.
- Mentor colleagues and help grow the team’s capabilities.
Requirements
- Be highly proficient in C and C++.
- Have strong knowledge of multicore processor architectures and operating-system concepts including processes, threads, locks, and virtual memory.
- Have experience with at least one of PCIe, CXL, block storage, object storage, or file systems, especially NFS.
- Have expertise debugging and optimizing sophisticated software systems for performance.
- Have experience with modern software development, Git, and code reviews.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of I/O and networking performance, kernel bypass with RDMA, DPDK, or SPDK, cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, CSI, or Ansible, and familiarity with PyTorch-based training applications.
