Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate core identity services for authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management.
- Architect scalable, secure, high-throughput APIs and distributed systems across Splunk and Cisco products.
- Unify identity systems and serve as a subject matter expert on modern identity protocols and authorization models.
- Work across Go services and existing C++ components, including integrations and incremental modernization.
- Develop automated tests, debug complex production issues, improve observability, and provide production support.
- Contribute to performance profiling, incident response, secure-access auditing, session management, and policy enforcement.
- Collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams and explore AI/ML opportunities for identity automation and protection.
Requirements
- Strong, recent hands-on C++ and/or Go experience building secure, scalable, high-throughput production services.
- Experience designing and operating secure, distributed, fault-tolerant systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, token and session lifecycle management, RBAC, and ABAC.
- Strong automated-testing, debugging, observability, and production-support skills.
- Preferred: C++ experience diagnosing Splunkd or authentication-integration code.
- Preferred: experience with OAuth device-code flow, CLI authentication, Okta, service identities, secure production access, LDAP, KV Store, Kubernetes-based operations, E2E test pipelines, and production dashboards.
