Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend service components integrated with Azure PaaS.
- Design and develop solutions for the API Platform and Mediation Layer initiatives.
- Define, implement, and promote API governance standards across the organization.
- Design integration solutions using APIs, events, MCP, and modern integration patterns.
- Develop and maintain robust, reusable REST and SOAP services.
- Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Ensure quality, security, observability, and reliability throughout the application lifecycle.
- Contribute to solution design, feasibility assessments, architectural decisions, and technical governance forums.
- Support integrations with insurance core systems, including INSIS.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, platform and security teams, and external vendors.
- Promote standardization, reduce technical debt, share knowledge, and mentor technical teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in API design and development.
- Strong expertise in REST and SOAP web services.
- Proven experience with Azure PaaS services.
- Solid knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Experience with API Management platforms and API governance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of integration architectures and mediation patterns.
- Experience implementing secure, resilient, and scalable solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership and make informed technical decisions.
- Experience mentoring and supporting technical teams.
- Insurance-sector experience, INSIS knowledge, and experience with Oxygen, Salesforce, enterprise insurance platforms, Intelligent Automation, or event-driven architectures are desirable.
