Responsibilities
- Own and evolve generated service templates for .NET, Node.js, and Python, covering scaffolding, dependencies, containerization, local development, and production configuration.
- Build and maintain reusable CI/CD pipeline templates in GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
- Define structured logging, distributed tracing, and alerting standards integrated into service templates.
- Build the platform-level observability layer using Datadog, incident.io, and/or GCP or Azure-native monitoring tools.
- Contribute to assessment and proof-of-concept work for a potential Azure-to-GCP migration.
- Partner with product engineers to identify and resolve developer-experience issues such as slow pipelines, unclear templates, and missing runbooks.
- Lead technical decisions on platform tooling, document architecture decisions, and drive adoption across engineering teams.
- Mentor Cloud Platform engineers and support product engineers using platform tooling.
Requirements
- Be proficient in at least one of .NET/C#, Node.js, or Python and able to build, configure, and template production-grade services.
- Have strong GCP experience; Azure experience is preferred.
- Have hands-on experience designing reusable CI/CD pipeline templates with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Be comfortable with Docker and deployment on Kubernetes or Cloud Run.
- Have observability experience with Datadog, incident.io, GCP Cloud Operations, or Azure Monitor.
- Have infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform.
- Demonstrate a track record of driving adoption by building tools engineers use and writing effective documentation.
