Base Salary
$113k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship conversational interfaces and AI-driven experiences on iOS.
- Architect and build production-grade Swift-first features using async/await, structured concurrency, and modern iOS APIs.
- Lead implementation of context-aware experiences using behavior, preferences, and app state with emphasis on performance and privacy.
- Use analytics, A/B testing, logging, metrics, and validation to iterate on features and improve quality.
- Translate complex AI/ML capabilities into simple and intuitive mobile interactions.
- Use LLM-based coding assistants to accelerate development while maintaining a high-quality, well-tested codebase.
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional development experience with strong Swift skills and experience building high-quality iOS apps.
- Deep knowledge of Swift, the iOS SDK, Swift concurrency, async/await, Task, actors, structured concurrency, and modern GCD usage.
- Production experience with SwiftUI, plus familiarity with UIKit and interoperability.
- Experience with Combine or other reactive patterns and judgment about when to use them versus async/await.
- Strong understanding of iOS architecture, including patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modularization.
- Experience with JSON, REST, WebSockets, streaming APIs, and robust networking layers with error handling, retries, and offline support.
- Experience with offline storage, background processing, threading, and push notifications.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot while maintaining code quality and security.
- Familiarity with LLM-driven features, including prompt design, LLM API integration, latency handling, fallbacks, guardrails, or conversational UX.
- Track record building consumer-facing apps; App Store shipping and iteration based on user feedback and metrics are preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related technical field.
