Responsibilities
- Design and develop microservices and integrate new features into Portworx products.
- Own design and development activities from initial design through production.
- Perform unit and functional testing, code reviews, documentation, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with peers, stakeholders, product management, and customer beta partners.
- Adapt solutions based on customer feedback and resolve issues identified during testing and customer deployments.
- Experiment with new technologies and develop innovative solutions.
- Lead technical decisions related to design, code efficiency, and functional quality.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing product components.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with Python and Go preferred.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, testable, maintainable, production-grade microservices and cloud deployments.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, deployments, and continuous integration.
- Ability to technically lead the team on design, code efficiency, and functional quality.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Hands-on experience with KubeVirt, OpenShift, VMware APIs, and virtualization technologies is preferred.
- Understanding of containerized workloads, virtual machine orchestration, Kubernetes, and containers is preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes control plane development and production telemetry systems is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to work in an open office environment.
