Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of the TimescaleDB Enterprise on-premise deployment and management platform.
Build management consoles and user-facing tooling with React and TypeScript.
Develop backend APIs and services with Go.
Implement deployment workflows and configuration management using Ansible.
Build operational tooling for production PostgreSQL databases and customer administration experiences.
Write unit tests and automated end-to-end tests against real infrastructure.
Improve product reliability, usability, operational simplicity, and customer experience.
Collaborate with senior engineers, Platform Engineering, Product, Support, and Sales Engineering.
Contribute to the long-term product and technical direction of the Enterprise platform.
Use AI tools to accelerate development, debugging, and product iteration.

Roughly 1–3 years of foundational software engineering experience, including internships or substantial projects.
Working knowledge of Go or TypeScript, or demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages quickly.
Comfort with Linux fundamentals, including the shell, SSH, services, containers, and basic networking.
Interest in working across backend services, user-facing tooling, and multiple system layers.
Familiarity and growing proficiency with AI coding tools.
Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL, distributed systems, or deployment automation is preferred.
Experience collaborating with other technical contributors.
Curiosity, ownership, clear communication, customer empathy, and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Remote work; candidates for this role must be located in the US Eastern or Central Time Zone.
