Base Salary
$154k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Establish global networking best practices and design scalable network solutions.
- Build and maintain automation and tools for product introductions, deployment, release engineering, operations, and configuration management.
- Design solutions that scale across multiple network hardware platforms and vendors.
- Enhance continuous integration, validation, testing infrastructure, release, and configuration workflows.
- Investigate complex network, tooling, hardware, and production issues.
- Develop scalable automated workflows and operational process improvements.
- Drive cross-team initiatives, remove operational roadblocks, and deliver automation solutions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and apply production learnings to future network products.
- Mentor peers and contribute to team growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience planning, designing, building, and/or operating scalable and reliable systems or networks.
- Programming experience in at least one language such as Python, C++, Go, Rust, or Java, with the ability to learn new languages, software, frameworks, and APIs.
- Knowledge of TCP, IPv4/IPv6, routing protocols such as BGP, MPLS, or ISIS, and network services such as DHCP and DNS.
- Experience developing and understanding network-device configuration in multi-vendor environments including Juniper, Cisco, Arista, or Brocade.
- Experience maintaining network devices and NMS systems or applications involving web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, or messaging systems.
- Hardware evaluation and vendor management experience.
- Preferred: ongoing AI skill development, AI workflow integration, responsible AI practices, modern spine-leaf or fabric datacenter architectures, routing and switching experience, project management, network automation using software-defined networking, and global team experience.
