Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
- Develop backend systems using Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and AWS.
- Work with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases on performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, manage technical risks, and support timely project delivery.
- Drive modern engineering practices involving CI/CD, DevOps, Git, Jenkins, and continuous delivery.
- Lead technical discussions, influence architectural decisions, and communicate with stakeholders and senior leadership.
Requirements
- 9–12 years of experience as a Java technology leader or in a comparable software engineering role.
- Strong expertise in Core Java, including Java 8, Java 11, and Java 17.
- Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, enterprise application development, OOP, design patterns, and data structures.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Experience mentoring development teams, conducting code reviews, managing technical risks, and delivering projects.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and influence architecture.
- Exposure to treasury, capital markets, banking, financial services, FCSO, AML transaction monitoring, trade surveillance, or regulatory reporting is advantageous.
- Exposure to React.js, Azure, AWS, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes is advantageous.
