Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build highly scalable distributed systems for capturing, structuring, and retrieving knowledge in real time.
- Implement intelligent retrieval and ranking capabilities with sub-second latency.
- Create APIs and data models that provide AI systems access to structured memory across contexts and domains.
- Develop pipelines that process real-time event streams and batch data into durable, retrievable knowledge representations.
- Build systems incorporating temporal decay, relevance boundaries, and access controls.
- Collaborate with Applied Scientists to integrate knowledge extraction and pattern-recognition approaches into production infrastructure.
- Develop solutions for reconciling knowledge across tools, teams, and workflows.
- Contribute to feedback loops that improve system value through each processed interaction.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Experience with knowledge graphs, vector databases, or information retrieval systems.
- Familiarity with LLM integration patterns, prompt engineering, or agentic AI frameworks.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
