Base Salary
$100k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions on the Appian platform.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle with customer technical teams and business users.
- Gather requirements, understand business processes and technical needs, and launch relational data models into production.
- Develop APIs and integrations with multiple systems using REST, SOAP, JDBC, and web services.
- Identify AI use cases and implement retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models.
- Mentor and develop team members and lead small teams through post-sale software implementations.
- Drive customer adoption by enabling clients to independently build process applications.
- Collaborate on cross-functional teams using pair programming, stand-ups, planning sessions, and sprints.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required for candidates considered for public-sector roles.
- At least 3 years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience leading small teams through post-sale software implementations and mentoring or developing others.
- Ability to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements with clients.
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, database design and data modeling, and SQL.
- Experience with software testing practices, automated test suites, API integrations, JDBC connections, and web services.
- Familiarity with AWS, artificial intelligence, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, Application Integration, Database, Developer Tools, Management & Governance, and Elastic Containers is preferred.
- Strong communication, continuous-learning, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel 20% or less annually to support customer engagements.
