$173k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement platform capabilities for automated provisioning, deployment pipelines, access control, service lifecycle management, and reliability tooling.
- Build and maintain integrations with CI/CD pipelines, identity and secrets management, external APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Design and operate secure analytical data access patterns including RBAC, managed-access schemas, dynamic data masking, secure views, and cross-database grants.
- Automate access provisioning, data pipeline failure handling, service health management, and secrets management to enable self-service.
- Build telemetry, alerting, logging infrastructure, runbooks, and operational patterns that improve diagnosis and reduce recovery time.
- Participate in on-call coverage, triage production incidents, and perform platform maintenance.
- Contribute to semantic layer infrastructure, agentic application patterns, and AI-native data tooling.
- Maintain high standards for code review, design, operational readiness, and incident follow-through.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating a cloud analytical data platform such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or a similar system, including access control, data masking, governance, compute management, and cost optimization.
- Experience building and operating containerized applications, including Docker image management, deployment automation, production rollouts, and CI/CD pipeline design using tools such as Buildkite or GitHub Actions.
- Experience building internal platforms, developer tooling, or self-service infrastructure focused on end-to-end developer experience.
- Comfort building system integrations involving REST APIs, OAuth/OIDC, webhook ingestion, secrets management, egress networking, and identity/SSO patterns in a managed cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for reliable and maintainable backend platform services.
- Strong operational ownership, including instrumentation, runbooks, alert ownership, on-call participation, root cause analysis, and durable incident fixes.
- Familiarity with or interest in semantic layer design, LLM-integrated platform workflows, and agentic data tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate across application, security, infrastructure, and platform teams.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience is required.
