Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define products and key user journeys.
- Lead the technical design and execution of complex projects aligned with long-term data architecture strategy.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through production support.
- Advocate for improvements to data quality, system architecture, and engineering practices across Google Global Infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: Experience designing and building distributed systems and backend services, data modeling, data pipelines, data management, network infrastructure concepts, and leadership of complex multi-stakeholder projects.
- Preferred: People management or equivalent leadership experience.
