Responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of production software deployments, maintenance windows, emergency deployments, and release activities.
- Share ownership of global production deployment operations and provide operational continuity across production environments.
- Develop deployment standards, release readiness processes, rollback procedures, and operational playbooks.
- Design reusable deployment frameworks, standardized workflows, automated deployment solutions, and self-service deployment capabilities.
- Lead CI/CD modernization initiatives using CircleCI and related technologies.
- Conduct post-release reviews and drive improvements to deployment reliability, release quality, engineering efficiency, and operational risk.
- Serve as the technical escalation point during complex deployments and critical release activities.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps engineers and software engineering teams.
- Collaborate with platform, architecture, engineering, SRE, QA, product, release management, and security stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
- Communicate project status, technical risks, and delivery milestones to stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Build & Release Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Strong experience supporting and automating production software deployments in cloud environments.
- Deep enterprise-scale CI/CD pipeline experience with CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience managing artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory.
- Experience designing deployment automation, release orchestration, and software delivery workflows.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, pull request processes, and release management.
- Strong scripting or programming experience using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good-to-have experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration, AWS services and cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps capabilities, engineering productivity, and DORA metrics.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
