Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions on AWS and Azure.
- Lead initiatives to automate cloud infrastructure and evolve DevOps toolchains and practices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitOps methodologies.
- Contribute to cloud applications using serverless architectures, Kubernetes, and event-driven patterns.
- Apply secure authentication and authorization mechanisms and cloud security best practices.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Guide and mentor development teams and junior developers on DevOps, automation, software design, and quality practices.
- Conduct team reviews, support continuous improvement, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar, with a strong focus on AWS or Azure and cloud infrastructure automation.
- Solid experience with DevOps practices and software development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, or JavaScript, with expert-level proficiency in at least two languages preferred.
- Experience with serverless architectures, Kubernetes, event-driven patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps.
- Knowledge of cloud security, authentication and authorization, scalability, concurrency, distributed systems, cloud networking, and proxies.
- Preferred experience with DynamoDB, software architecture, systems testing, quality gates, monorepo and multirepo strategies, GitFlow, Flux, ArgoCD, and GitHub.
- Experience operating Kubernetes clusters from a developer perspective, including custom CRDs, operators, and controllers, is preferred.
- Preferred knowledge of AWS cloud services, Azure, Crossplane.io, and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional-equivalent knowledge.
- Strong communication, collaboration, technical guidance, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
