Responsibilities
- Design, document, build, and maintain backend software components, services, platforms, and frameworks.
- Design and implement agentic AI backends and multi-step agent workflow orchestration using AWS primitives and AI frameworks.
- Build secure, low-latency APIs and event-driven microservices with retries, timeouts, and compensating actions.
- Improve software performance, availability, scalability, security, observability, and resiliency.
- Own projects end to end, provide technical leadership and mentorship, and support junior engineers.
- Design and implement unit and integration test automation, participate in code reviews, and develop engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with internal, external, security, data, data science, UX, governance, and enterprise platform teams.
- Support security, software licensing, regulatory, and compliance audits and help implement controls addressing identified risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- 7–10+ years of experience building production backend systems.
- At least five years of hands-on AWS experience, including AWS core services and emerging technologies such as AWS AgentCore.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, secure APIs, workflow orchestration, and production operations.
- Hands-on experience coding, designing, and implementing backend services and AWS solutions.
- Ability to work with enterprise teams to obtain approvals and sign-off on solution designs.
- AWS certifications are highly valued.
- Experience with trading systems or ETRMs and operational experience running business-critical systems are desirable.
