Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze business problems and client requirements that require organizational change.
- Develop business requirements and propose solutions addressing business problems and opportunities.
- Build scalable, high-throughput, low-latency software applications using modern backend technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet business needs and expectations.
- Support business cases, feasibility studies, project progress reporting, and delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Create operational and process designs and support change management, including traceability matrices.
- Analyze complex data and information to solve problems, mitigate risk, and strengthen controls.
- Lead collaborative assignments, guide team members, and provide advice on complex issues when required.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java 11+/17+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL Server, and object-oriented design.
- Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and Apache Kafka.
- Experience building high-throughput, low-latency, scalable applications.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of modern software architecture patterns and cloud-native development practices.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or Dynatrace.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal guidance.
- Ability to identify root causes, drive proactive service improvement, continuously develop technical knowledge, and act as a subject-matter expert.
- Exposure to financial services or investment banking environments is desirable.
