
Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer (Cogentiq)

Responsibilities
- Design and develop production-grade AI applications using the Cogentiq platform.
- Deploy enterprise AI solutions from proof of concept through production.
- Build integrations with SAP, Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Snowflake, Databricks, and other business systems.
- Develop reusable connectors, APIs, SDKs, MCP servers, and automation components.
- Design secure, scalable cloud-native architectures and build reliable backend services and microservices.
- Collaborate directly with customer engineering and business teams, conduct technical workshops, and deliver AI solutions.
- Troubleshoot production deployments, optimize performance, and ensure reliability and security.
- Capture deployment learnings and contribute reusable capabilities to the Cogentiq platform.
- Work with AI engineers, platform engineers, product managers, and solution architects to improve the platform.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production-grade backend applications, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency with Python, databases, Git, and modern software development practices; Java or TypeScript experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, RAG, tool calling, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation techniques.
- Experience with MCP and modern AI orchestration frameworks is highly desirable.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications such as SAP, Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Snowflake, and Databricks.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, API-first architectures, OAuth, JWT, SAML, SQL, REST APIs, and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, observability, monitoring, and security best practices.
- Ability to work directly with customers, translate business challenges into technical solutions, lead architecture discussions and technical workshops, and operate effectively as requirements evolve.
- Ability to own outcomes, learn quickly, prototype rapidly, and transform customer-specific solutions into reusable platform capabilities.
